"Star"
Section B Welsh gelding

Dam: Flying Colors Star O' the North
Pedigree Highlights: Twyford Moonshine, Bryntirion
Rowan, Cusop Sheriff, Farnley Lustre, Coed Coch
Berwynfa, Criban Cracker, Criban Button B
Foaled: July 15, 1995
Color: grey, foaled bay, star, stripe, snip and hind socks
Height: 11.3 1/4 hands
Owner: Katherine A. Tschida
Star is our second Welsh and was purchased for his
darling little ears and precocious personality. I gave him
to my Mom, Kay, as a Christmas present in 1997. What
else do you buy for someone who has everything?
Believe it of not, Star is a half brother to our Flying
Colors Rainbow Trail. They demonstrate a fair amount
of sibling rivalry, which provides us with endless entertainment...squealing, stomping and lots
of ugly faces!
Star has excellent Welsh type and movement. He is awesome over fences too, though we
don't currently have any riders to jump him.
Star's duties include giving the small visitors to Ponies Galore! pony rides, doing lessons and
keeping the young ponies in line. His main job is as companion to our stallion, Phantom
Bronze Knight.
Star will remain at Ponies Galore! till the end of his days. We simply can't part with him...and
we're not sure anyone else could put up with him!

GALORE'S FIRST EDITION
"Eddy"
Half Welsh and Welara gelding
Pedigree Highlights: Cusop Sheriff, Wickenden
Osprey, Bryntirion Rowan, Coed Coch Berwynfa,
Coed Coch Blaen Lleuad, Gamaar, Bay-Abi, Indraff
Foaled: June 12, 1999
Color: bay, tiny star and right hind heel
Height: 14.1 hands
Eddy, as his name implies, was the first pony born at
Ponies Galore! I arrived at the barn just in time for him to be
born in my lap. He is exactly what he was bred to be...an
outstanding Hunter-type pony.
Eddy moves from the shoulder with lots of "push" from
behind, with the ultimate hunter gaits. He has a lovely
bascule to his jump, not to mention a tight front end. His
conformation is excellent, with ample bone and depth of
body, great topline, elegant neck, and expressive face. While
he photographs quite well, he must be seen in person to be
fully appreciated.
Eddy's temperament is simply exceptional. This 900 pound puppy-dog still thinks he's a 90
pound foal and LOVES to "cuddle." He is easy to manage in all circumstances, though he
tends to demonstrate his youthful exuberance in the show ring.
Eddy's first public appearance was at the 2000 Minnesota Horse Expo as a yearling. He
dutifully stood at his stall guard for three days demonstrating his wonderful disposition and
teaching all the visitors what a "Welara" pony is. He behaved very well the whole weekend. I
was very proud of him and took him again in 2001 and 2003. Pictures of "Expo Eddy" can be
seen in his photo album.
Eddy returned to the show ring in 2003 after taking 2002 off to breed his first mares and
begin his under saddle training. Eddy had an extremely successful show season, resulting in
several more championships and year end awards. Eddy's complete show record can be
viewed on his show record page.
Eddy's under saddle training has progressed very well. He is totally balanced, supple and
willing to work. He loves to trail ride and recently made his Team Sorting debut.
Eddy's first foals arrived in 2003. I couldn't be more pleased with them. Galore's Wicked
Trickster, out of the Section B mare Ironhorse Jump For Joy, arrived on May 31, 2003, in
Massachusetts. Galore's Sweet SeaCret arrived on June 25, 2003, to my Reserve Grand
Champion Half Welsh mare Lady June. I was there when Secret arrived, just as I was for
Eddy. She is her daddy's girl in every way and is, in my opinion, one of the best foal I've bred
to date. Secret has been retained for the broodmare band. Eddy was bred to Section B mare
Young's Kwik N Easy right before he was gelded. On May 8, 2006, Galore's Easy Lover
arrived. Lovey is every bit as wonderful as Secret and seal brown to boot! Pictures of these
beautiful babies can be seen in Eddy's album. Eddy has given his foals his height, substance,
extreme movement and stunning good looks.

FLYING COLORS RAINBOW TRAIL
"Boo Boo"
Section C Welsh gelding
Sire: Flying Colors Yankee Clipper
Dam: Flying Colors Star O' the North
Pedigree Highlights: Coed Coch Berwynfa, Dafydd y Brenin
Cymraeg, Cusop Sheriff, Criban Victor, Seamair Eclipse
Foaled: June 10, 1993
Color: bay roan sabino, strip and snip
Height: 13.1 hands
Boo Boo is a very smart, sweet, and sensible guy.
Just great pony! Boo Boo gains many fans wherever
he goes because of his talent, quiet demeanor, wry
sense of humor and huge heart. He arrived at Ponies
Galore! as a 10 year old, having had some rough
riding somewhere in his past. He is a bit nervous with
new riders, particularly adults, but once he accepts
you as "his," he will gladly do whatever is asked of
him, for as long as you ask.
Boo Boo has been extensively trail ridden, so not much bothers him outside the ring. He is a
great asset as a "buddy" for the young ponies learning the ropes of trail riding, cows and the
lake.
Boo Boo has completed three successful seasons on the Welsh circuit where he competed
in Showmanship, Halter, Trail, Ridden Cob, English and Western Pleasure. He also serves as
the Welsh Ambassador of Good Will every year at the Minnesota Horse Expo. He is
well-loved by all who meet him there.
GALORE'S PANACHE
"Spike"
Section A Welsh gelding
Sire: Galore's Splash of Flash
Dam: Madoc Pippi Longstocking
Pedigree Highlights: Liseter Shooting Star, Clan Pip,
Coed Coch Glyndwr, Friars Ranger, Cefnfedw Golden Glory
Foaled: May 9, 2006, 5:30 PM
Color: chestnut sabino, blaze, 3 stockings, left front ankle
Height: 12.1 hands
This is a cross I'd planned since I purchased Pippi as a
weanling in August of 2000. I knew her movement,
temperament and pedigree were the perfect complement
for Splash. The result? A total knockout in all respects...conformation, movement, jumping
ability, temperament and the all-important pony character. Spike is simply the best of both of
his parents and more. He's totally sweet, lovable and fearless. Pictures DO NOT do him
justice! He is the spitting image of his sire at the same age and will undoubtedly grow into an
equally stunning boy. Liseter bloodlines have a tendency to mature slowly, but when they do,
they'll take your breath away!
Spike is destined for show ring glory, whether it is driving or hunters. Both Pippi and Splash
have won countless Championships in halter. Pippi's dam was a member of one of the late
JD Orear's favorite draft driving teams and also a halter Champion. Splash is a grandson of
Liseter Carnelian and Liseter Gladness, who each produced many halter and pony hunter
Champions on the East Coast. His winning bloodlines, combined with his huge stride,
unflappable disposition and willing temperament, will make Spike hard to beat in any
discipline.
Multi-Supreme and Regional Champion
GALORE'S SPLASH OF FLASH
"Splash"
Section A Welsh & Welara Foundation gelding
Sire: Liseter Royal Sparkler
Dam: Dandardel Jeanette
Pedigree Highlights: Liseter Shooting Star, Clan Pip,
Bowdler Brilliant, Coed Coch Madog, Bolgoed Squire,
Ceulan Revelry, Grove Sharpshooter
Foaled: June 2, 1997
Color: dark bay, blaze and 4 stockings
Height: 12.0 hands
Splash came to Ponies Galore! in June of 1999. With his
presence and charisma, I just had to have him! He is a
flamboyant pony with good bone, ample substance, and
excellent Welsh type and conformation. He has breathtaking
movement and tremendous jumping ability. Splash has an
extremely kind temperament and a very willing attitude. He is
always happy and lives his life to the fullest!
Splash made his first public appearance at the 2001
Minnesota Horse Expo. He spent all three days greeting visitors over his stall guard and
letting them arrange his forelock into a variety of different hair-dos. Other stallion owners
that saw him were amazed that he had the patience to put up with all the attention and never
once thought to pin his ears or bite. Pictures of Splash and his fans may be seen in his
photo album. Splash has also appeared at the 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Minnesota
Horse Expos. He is always a "hit" with the crowd, especially the kids and gladly
accepts hugs and gives hugs back! Watch for him at Expo again in 2012.
Splash made his show ring debut in 2001. His show record to date is impressive to say the
least, with very minimal showing. I am extremely proud of Splash and his accomplishments
and plan to get him out again in 2012.
Splash began his under saddle career with a talented junior rider in 2002. He proved to be
extremely easy to work with and retains his training very well. He is naturally balanced athlete
with a great work ethic. After a six year hiatus from training, Splash started back under
saddle two weeks before Horse Expo so he could be ridden during his stallion demo. No one
would have ever guessed he was as green as he was, but in true Splash fashion, he rose to
the occasion and put on an amazing show. Currently, Splash's training is focusing on Team
Sorting and games.
Splash's foals have inhereited their sire's wonderful temperament, outgoing personality and
Welsh type. He has produced Section A, B and Half Welsh that are undeniably his, proving
his worth as a sire. His 2008 Section B filly Galore's Easy On the Eyes has fabulous
conformation and movement, with LOTS of ponytude to boot! "Kiki" is out of my
champion-producing Young's Kwik N Easy. Except for coat color, Kiki is a carbon copy of
her eldest half sister Galore's Three Cheers. I have regretted selling Cheers since the day I
put her on the trailer bound for Florida, so Kiki is truly a blessing. Kiki will eventually replace
her dam in the broodmare band.
Splash was gelded on July 12, 2011. It was a very difficult decision to make, but was made in
Splash's best interest. He can now play with his gelding friends Boo Boo and Eddy and focus
on his performance career. He made his mark as a stallion and will indeed make another as a
gelding.
