Multi-Reserve Grand Champion
FLYING COLORS DARK OF THE MOON
"Shadow"
Section B Welsh mare B-30258
Welara Foundation mare W-10050
Sire: Chance's Golden Opportunity B-28039
Dam: Fauns Baby Girl A-26928
Pedigree Highlights: Twyford Moonshine, Bryntirion Rowan,
Cusop Sheriff, Coed Coch Berwynfa, Coed Coch Blaen Lleuad
Foaled: March 26, 1984
Color: dark bay, crescent-shaped star
Height: 12.2 1/2 hands
Foal Theme: All her Ponies Galore! foals are "numbered" - First Edition,
Second To None, Three Cheers, Unfourgettable and Fifth Avenue.
Though she is now officially retired from broodmare duties,
Shadow is the foundation of our breeding program and the Queen
of Ponies Galore! Her outstanding, old fashioned Welsh type -
beautiful head, big eyes, lovely neck and topline, lots of substance
and fabulous movement - has left an indelible mark on the Ponies
Galore! herd. She was a wonderful mother who passed her sweet
disposition, and usually her color, on to her foals. When I heard
she was for sale, I purchased her over the phone, having seen only
a glimpse of her months before. She is one of those very special,
once-in-a-lifetime ponies. I am blessed to have her.
Shadow had her first foal for me in 1999 and allowed me to be
there for his arrival. Multi-Grand Champion Galore's First Edition, by the Arabian stallion Road Warrior, is her
winningest foal to date. Eddy has inherited all the best qualities of both of his parents. He is absolutely everything I
hoped he'd be and more...type, temperament, conformation and movement. He is the "total package" and has
passed his assets on to his foals. Eddy's daughter, Galore's Sweet SeaCret has been retained as Eddy has been
gelded to become my personal mount. Eddy's full brother, Grand Champion Galore's Second To None, arrived in
2000. Bugsy is destined for greatness as a large Hunter pony. In 2001, Shadow gave me my first filly, Galore's
Three Cheers, by Supreme Champion Galore's Splash of Flash. Cheers is a carbon copy of Shadow and was
purchased by Holly and Roger Cartier of Florida to be the foundation of their breeding program. On May 17, 2002,
Shadow delivered her thirteenth foal, Galore's Unfourgettable, a bay filly by Reserve Grand Champion Rosmels
Texas Twister (Rosmel Cotillion x *Eyarth Mistral). Windee is another carbon copy of Shadow and currently
resides at Shady Grove Welsh Ponies, Honea Path, South Carolina. Shadow took 2003 off from motherhood and
was bred to *Casnewydd Little Joe (Sarnau Rhisiart x Casnewydd Helena) for 2004. Shadow foaled an exquisite
grey filly, Reserve Junior Champion Galore's Fifth Avenue, on May 2, 2004. Missy has replaced her dam in my
broodmare band. Shadow also has three lovely grandfoals in the Ponies Galore! herd...Galore's Sweet SeaCret,
Galore's Easy Lover, and Galore's Talledega Knight.
Shadow is back to riding pony status after a 15-year broodmare hiatus. She is doing wonderfully!

YOUNG'S KWIK N EASY
"Jenny"
Section B Welsh mare B-41355 [B7152]
Sire: *Pendock Perseus (B21557) [B4687]
Dam: Young's Top Her Off [B5968]
Pedigree Highlights: Kirby Cane Gauntlet, Criban Victor,
Bowdell Buccaneer, Ceulan Revelry, Coed Coch Berwynfa,
Criban Monarch, Bowdler Brilliant
Foaled: May 24, 1992
Color: solid brown
Height: 12.3 hands
Foal Theme: All foal names contain "easy."
Jenny was bred by the late Stanley Young in Alberta, Canada. She has a
lot of wonderful old breeding up close in her pedigree. Jenny has huge
eyes, a small head, shapely ears and neck, a huge hip and good bone.
Jenny is only green broke to ride, but is naturally balanced, soft and
supple. She was trail ridden before coming to the United States and we
plan to continue Jenny's under saddle education as her broodmare duties
permit.
Jenny is a well-proven broodmare, having produced a number of
outstanding, winning foals for Crignant Welsh Ponies in Alberta, Canada,
before her arrival at Ponies Galore! Jenny foaled a fabulous brown colt,
Grand Champion Galore's Easy To Please, by Crignant Welsh's Asgard
Argentina (*Rosedale Fairy Prince x Asgard Columbia) on June 20, 2002.
Dylan looks just like Jenny and is destined to be a Sport pony-deluxe,
with his friendly, outgoing temperament and boundless energy and athleticism.
Jenny had a liver chestnut colt, Galore's Easy To Spot by Phantom Bronze Knight (*Snow Pony Blondus x
*Cymbeline's Jet Beauty) on May 6, 2004. Slick is just like his brother in temperament and athleticism, and is sure
to follow his big brother footsteps to a successful performance career. On May 8, 2006, Jenny had her second filly
ever, the fabulous Galore's Easy Lover, by Galore's First Edition. Lovey is absolutely everything I'd hoped for
from this cross and more. She is proudly offered for sale. On May 14, 2008, Jenny blessed me with the stunning
Section B filly Galore's Easy on the Eyes, by Galore's Splash of Flash. "Kiki" has been retained to eventually
replace Jenny in my broodmare band.
Jenny's temperament is outstanding and she has a heart of gold. When the 2004 foals, Jenny's colt and Shadow's
filly, were turned back out into the pasture after weaning, Jenny immediately took over as "mom" and protector to
both foals. For two weeks, she ran herself ragged herding the yearlings off to safety any time another pony came
close. This year she played midwife for that 2004 filly Galore's Fifth Avenue. When Galore's Talledega Knight
finally made his appearance, Jenny just about climbed the partition to 'mother' him.
Jenny will be bred back to Galore's Splash of Flash for 2010.
Reserve Junior Champion
GALORE'S FIFTH AVENUE
"Missy"
Section B Welsh mare B-44758
Sire: Supreme Champion *Casnewydd Little Joe
Dam: Reserve Grand Champion Flying Colors Dark of the Moon
Pedigree Highlights: Cusop Sheriff, Weston Gigli, Downland Lyric,
Coed Coch Berwynfa, Coed Coch Madog, Bowdler Brilliant
Foaled: May 2, 2004, 10:30 PM
Color: grey, foaled black; question mark-shaped strip
Height: 12.2 hands
Foal Theme: Missy's foals will be named after famous 'pavement'...
roadways, racetracks, etc.
My beloved Shadow saved her very best for last. This was a cross I
had in mind for several years as I felt Shadow and Little Joe
complemented each other perfectly. The result is an extremely typey,
elegant and sassy filly with very correct conformation and ample
substance. She knows just how special she is and reminds us often!
Missy is very precocious like her half-siblings, yet all possess
Shadow's calm, easy-going temperament. Missy is so laid back, no
one ever guesses she's as young as she is. She has exceptional
movement and loves to show off and play with the other ponies -
whether they want to or not.
Missy returned to the show ring in 2006 and we were very pleased with the results, earning a Reserve Junior
Championship at the Centennial Show with National competition.
Missy had her first foal, Galore's Talledega Knight, by Phantom Bronze Knight, on April 29, 2008. Tally is
everything a Section B colt should be and has been retained.
Missy will be bred back to Knight for 2010.

MAR-JON SCHILLING
"Schilling"
Section B Welsh mare B-44361 [B10245]
Sire: Supreme Champion Brookside Bronze Tuppenny [B7252]
Dam: Mar-Jon April [B7110]
Pedigree Highlights: Cusop Sheriff, Duntarvie Janus, Criban Victor,
Solway Master Bronze, Brockwell Spider, Downland Drummer Boy
Foaled: April 26, 2004
Color: bay, star, connected stripe, both hind half stockings
Height: 13.1 hands
Foal Theme: Undecided.
We are thrilled to have added this gorgeous mare to our herd! Schilling
was bred by Margaret Allen in Manitoba, Canada and came to us via
Whispering Ridge Welsh in North Dakota. Schilling was on the
Whispering Ridge sales list several times and I wanted her in the
WORST way, but the timing just wasn't right. I had video of her that
I watched quite frequently, knowing she was THE mare I needed. I
looked at many other mares and fillies as well, but couldn't
get visions of Schilling's trot out of mind. In June 2007, she was back
on the sales list and I was finally able to make it work! She arrived in
Minnesota on July 1, 2007.
Schilling has a very impressive pedigree full of Champions and Champion-producers. She is a maternal half-sister to
Supreme Champion Whills Hot An Flirtatious, bred in northern Minnesota by Carmen Goldsmith and now burning
up the show ring in performance in California. Another maternal half sister is the lovely Mar-Jon Arian, also bred
by Carmen, produced a drop dead gorgeous 2006 filly, Whispering Spring Melody, by Schilling's sire, Brookside
Bronze Tuppenny. Tuppenny's sire is the incomparable *Duntarvie Janus. "DJ," a Supreme Champion himself,
comes from a long line of in hand and ridden Champions, and consistently passes these winning genes on to his
offspring. These bloodlines breed true!
Schilling is a very friendly, sweet mare and always comes up to visit. She does have a high opinion of herself within
the herd however. We buddied her up with a "Brookside cousin" our beloved Madoc Pippi Longstocking (by
Brookside Starry Knight) when we brought her home. The two divas battled it out for the first day then quietly
tolerated each other. When Schilling was finally turned out with the whole herd, Pippi left her in the dust, but she
was immediately 'claimed' by our precocious Shady Grove's Dulcimer, the 10.2 hand dynamo. Dulcie and Schilling
were inseparable for weeks...whether Schilling liked it or not. Slowly other fillies and mares joined their little
group...whether Dulcie liked it or not!
Schilling will be started under saddle this summer. There are no show plans for her until she finishes filling out.
Schilling has been bred to Phantom Bronze Knight for 2009.
Many thanks to Ted and Lisa for finally parting with Schilling! She has a home here for life!
