Reserve Supreme & 2002 WPCSA Regional Champion
MADOC PIPPI LONGSTOCKING
"Pippi"
Section A Welsh mare A-39803
Sire: Brookside Starry Knight A-37683 [A7761]
Dam: Dandardel Misty A-29687
Pedigree Highlights: Friars Ranger, Coed Coch Madog, Criban
Cracker, Coed Coch Saled, Farnley Sirius, Coed Coch Serenllys,
Tanybwlch Berwyn
Foaled: February 15, 2000
Color: light bay sabino, blaze and four stockings
Height: 12.0 hands
Foal Theme: In keeping with Welsh tradition, Pippi's foals'
names will begin with the letter P.
Pippi is an outstanding mare. She simply floats when she moves and has
fantastic form over fences. Pippi was purchased on her pedigree alone,
over the Internet. She made the trip up from Texas in September of 2000.
Pippi handled the six-day trip in stride and arrived totally unaffected. She
marched off the van like she'd done it a thousand times and immediately
claimed the farm as her own. She is truly one of my favorites.
Pippi is a powerhouse in a pretty, petite package. Her trot can take your
breath away and she has tremendous jumping ability. Pippi has lovely
conformation - tiny head and ears, awesome shoulder, good topline and
ample bone and substance. She just keeps improving as she matures.
Pippi has an outstanding show record with limited show ring appearances
in 2001 and 2002.
Pippi is slated to finally finish her under saddle training in 2008. If all goes according to our plans, she will be
available for our leasing program by mid-summer.
Pippi's dam, Dandardel Misty, has many Championships to her credit and was a member of one of JD Orear's
favorite draft teams. Pippi's sire Brookside Starry Knight has done very well in the halter ring in Canada and the
US, as have his sire, *Friars Sweet William (now deceased), and his dam, *Friars Seren Goch.
Pippi had her first foal in 2006 by Supreme Champion Galore's Splash of Flash. Galore's Panache aka "Spike" is
line bred Farnley Sea Urchin and resembles him in color, markings and conformation. Spike is ultra-adorable,
sweet and will blow you away with his movement.
Pippi has been bred to Phantom Bronze Knight for 2009.
MANY THANKS to Mary Alice Williams of Madoc Welsh Ponies and Cobs, Texas, for allowing me to purchase
my darling Pippi!

Reserve Junior Champion
SHADY GROVE'S DULCIMER
"Dulcie"
chestnut Section A Welsh mare A-44709
Sire: *Castellau Cardinal
Dam: Shallow Creek Rosemerry
Pedigree Highlights: Clan Pip, Twyford Santa, Rowfant Peanut,
Severn West Wind, Wye Windjammer, Farnley Sundial
Foaled: April 4, 2005
Height: 10.2 hands
Foal Theme: Dulcie's foals' names will begin with the letter D.
Owner: Katherine Tschida
We are extremely pleased to have Dulcie in the Ponies Galore! herd.
She brings with her wonderful, old bloodlines, including those of the
immortal Severn West Wind, through his outstanding grandson
Severn Merrymaker. In addition to her lovely pedigree, Dulcie also
brings ample substance, wonderful movement, laid back temperament
and an extreme over abundance of pony character! She gets along with
every other pony in the herd and I have yet to find anyone who doesn't
think she's adorable.
Dulcie handled her 30-hour trip to Minnesota in stride and immediately
claimed us all as her own, but has always had my mom totally wrapped around her tiny hooves! Every day my mom
asks, "How's Dulcie?" In August of 2008, I finally gave Dulcie to her for her birthday. It was like hearing a kid at
Christmas, literally squealling with delight. Of course, I still get to pay the bills:)
"Dulcifer" was a last minute addition to the show string for the Centennial Welsh show. It was her first show ring
appearance and the first time away from her sister Shady Grove's Mandolin. She had a ton of presence and
"ponytude" and it was a blast to show her! Her placings speak highly her, as she earned a Reserve Junior
Championship!
Speaking of her 'ponytude,' if she feels she isn't receiving enough attention, she will wiggle her way in and gently
step on your foot to get your attention...and the turns around so you can scratch her butt...
Due to her petite stature, Dulcie will be trained to become a rock-solid lead line pony for all the tiny visitors to
Ponies Galore!, and she will also be trained to drive so her new owner can enjoy her as well. We uneventfully
backed her last Fall so she's well on her way!
Many thanks to Bonnie Bidwell, Shady Grove Welsh, for entrusting Dulcie to us!
